For this open call, I decided to paint the mockingbird, as the state bird, it represents a lot to me and I am sure to a lot of other people. I wanted to have something meaningful and something to enjoy whether you’re a young or and adult person. Nature has always been kind and inspiring. This painting has deep meanings, starting with the bird, freedom is one of humans most desired things, then the tree representing life itself, cool greens with the mellow blues and with a golden sunset in the background.
