The 5 x 5 Art Exhibit & Fundraiser brings local art to the public with a one-night exhibit of over 200 artworks. The 5-inch x 5-inch artworks are generously donated by area artists and are sold as a fundraiser for Johnson City Public Art.
The event is free and open to the public.
This year’s event will feature over 200 artworks that have been generously donated by over 80 area artists. All 5-inch x 5-inch panels will be sold for $25. Also on offer this year are ceramic vessels made by local ceramicists and accompanied by seasonal floral arrangements. Each vessel and flowers will be sold as a set for $50. As they peruse the exhibit, attendees will enjoy a live musical performance by jazz quartet Adrian Nuñez, Hunter Sparks, Noah Wise, and Parker Lewis.
As in previous years, all artworks will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Therefore, attendees are encouraged to arrive promptly.
Johnson City Public Art will offer tours of the recently installed leased sculptures in Founders Park before and during the exhibit. The juror of the current Biennial Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition, Jason Brown, will conduct tours at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tour participants will meet by the restrooms at The Pavilion at Founders Park.
Participating artists as of July 15, 2021 include:
