Phil Pindzola Biennial Sculpture Exhibition

In February 2023, on the occasion of the imminent retirement of Public Works Director Phil Pindzola, the Johnson City Public Art Committee moved to name its Biennial Sculpture Exhibition in recognition of Mr. Pindzola’s three decades of dedicated service to the City of Johnson City and the formative role he played in the generation of the Johnson City Public Art Committee.

The following sculptures are leased from various artists. They are placed on a two-year rotational schedule and are located in and around Founders Park in downtown Johnson City.

These pieces are funded through private donations and are available for purchase by the public (click on images below to view pricing and additional info for each). Purchased art may be donated to the City if desired. Twenty percent of any purchase price will go to the City for future public art.

Interested in making a donation or purchase to support Johnson City Public Art? Please call Johnson City Public Works at 423-975-2706 or email ckumbhare@johnsoncitytn.org.
