Gallery on the Square is a rotational outdoor art exhibit featuring the work of regional artists. The exhibit is located along the walls that surround the Downtown Square parking lot between W. State of Franklin Rd. and Main St., with a concentration of artwork located behind The Generalist.
Nine permanent frames of various sizes have been installed for artwork display, and each exhibit remains in place for a two-year period. Beginning in 2024, new artworks will be selected following the distribution of an open call for artists. The installation of the next round will take place in fall of 2024.
Gallery on the Square allows a wide range of artists to gain exposure and provides an exhibition opportunity in a highly visible, public space. It also makes fine art available to the entire community, presenting art that engages both residents and visitors alike.
