Gallery on the Square is a rotational outdoor art exhibit featuring the work of regional artists. The exhibit is located along the walls that surround the Downtown Square parking lot between W. State of Franklin Rd. and Main St., with a concentration of artwork located behind The Generalist.
Thirteen permanent frames of various sizes have been installed for artwork display, and each exhibit remains in place for a two-year period. Beginning in the fall of 2026, new artworks will be selected following the distribution of an open call for artists. The installation of the next round will take place in early 2027.
Gallery on the Square allows a wide range of artists to gain exposure and provides an exhibition opportunity in a highly visible, public space. It also makes fine art available to the entire community, presenting art that engages both residents and visitors alike.
This exhibition was partially funded by a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission.

Street Art Throwdown Exhibit
The Street Art Throwdown Exhibit is located in a downtown breezeway area adjacent to Gallery on the Square. These graffiti-style artworks were completed by three local artists at the 2024 Art∙Struck Festival. After this year’s festival, a new round of Street Art Throwdown artworks will be installed in place of the current exhibit.
