Picnic
Watercolor on paper

From the artist:
This painting started out as a sketch I developed for an Acrylic painting class at ETSU along with several other drawings. I didn’t paint it for class but it had a certain allure that drew me back to it. I ended up painting it in Watercolor by a technique of masking and pouring the watercolor paint. The theme was initially “Decadence”, hence the name on the wine bottle, but I changed it to “Picnic” as it seemed more appropriate for a fun outing. Because my mantra is; “Eat dessert first” I added the cake and toppings. There will be no calories because you’ll burn it off bicycling. Right?
