Pin & Whisk (2020)
Pen and ink on paper
11″ x 14″

From the artist: I have always been fascinated by the deep relationship between food, family, place, and cultural identity. Growing up, family gatherings centered around colorful, Pyrex-strewn tables, each dish wholly representative of its creator. It was so much more than food. It was memories and stories, soft hearts and weathered hands, the deepest grit. Pin & Whisk was created to immortalize the tools of this trade, the means by which a family shared its love language.
