Milky Way Over East Tennessee (2020)
This picture of the Milky Way was taken in spring of 2020 at Beauty Spot Gap in Unicoi County,Tennessee. The photo is a composite of 10 images that were stacked together at 3-minute exposures. This process brings out more detail in the Milky Way and the night sky. Notice on the horizon there is an orange haze, this is caused by the area’s light pollution. Light pollution is easily preventable and keeps us from seeing magnificent sights such as this. Donnie urges folks in the area to be aware of the beauty of our night skies and to keep looking up.
