This particular piece has a special meaning in my heart…
Slight backstory, I am from Chicago. The city full of sky scrapers. You can’t turn around and not see an oversized metallic building. It’s a bit overwhelming for a nature-girl like me. So, I chose to make a change…
I decided to move to eastern Tennessee in March 2019, exactly two years ago now, and I fell in love with the mountains immediately. Every time I look at them, I am overjoyed and inspired. I finally got the chance to go hiking in these mountains…The moment I step foot on a hiking trail, I am blown away. Just observing the colors of everything. The lushness of the bushes, leaves, grass, and the colors are always changing. Sometimes the forests are busy with wildlife, and yet sometimes when I’ve hiked I’ve encountered a silence that I’ve never experienced before. True peacefulness. It amazes me all the time that this beauty lies RIGHT outside our doorstep.

This piece… Mainly represents my love for the Appalachians and its wildlife, but it also means something very personal to me as well. I don’t want to ruin your interpretation of this piece, so I will leave it at that. I hope you can connect with this piece in your own way.
